We Regret to Inform You...the dreaded Rejection Letter

What can I say? You have to play to win. Or something...
I've had my fair share of rejection over the years. You will when you pursue any type of creative life where you put yourself out there. Auditions have taught me resiliency, and determination, and encouraged me to do the deep work of "know thyself".
Now, as the responses to my film's festival submissions are beginning the slow trickle in, I need to steady myself again with the notion that my film will not be for everyone, as much as I want it to be!!!
I want everyone to love it. I want all of the festivals to include it.
The bottom line is, much with auditions, there are many aspects of "getting cast" that are completely out of our control, and it's best not to make ourselves crazy wondering what they are.
